A Note From The Editors

Since last time we checked in, Nucomment.com has grown in leaps and bounds.

Coming off of a winter quarter slump, we’re back with a hot new issue crammed with top of the line investigative reporting, thoughtful and targeted opinion pieces, all with the hard edge you’ve come to expect from us here at the Comment.

The dangers of one of the USA’s hippest cocktails, RedBull and Vodka, are explored by Emily Moffet in our eye-opening cover story. Amanda Junker takes a look at the growing numbers of college grads living with Mom and Dad. In one of the latest, and probably weirdest dating trends of late, Cuddle Parties have sprouted up for the touch-deprived; Erica Schlaikjer gives us the scoop. And in a moving piece about his experiences in Sri Lanka before the tsunami struck, Nick Lazos gives a human face to the tragedy and reminds us of its long-term repercussions.

Armed with a flashlight and some NU folklore, Matt Cohlmia takes you underground to Northwestern’s darkest places- the tunnels. Emily Brown tackles politics in this issue, answering the question of What Comes Next for the disappointed Dems. ‘A’ Sinderbrand’s spicy sex column is sure to please, and Trading Spaces is back as Lesley tries out the Big Apple lifestyle.

As always, Nucomment.com is looking for writers- if you like what you see and want to be a part of the Comment crew, contact us. We’d love to have you.

So sit back, relax, and enjoy Nucomment.com Winter 2005.

Sincerely,
